Sam Simpson

About me

I am a person centred counsellor, supervisor and trainer with many years experience of working in the public, private, education and voluntary sectors with young people and adults from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.

My first training was in speech and language therapy and so I bring experience of working with people who stammer and people with experience of brain injury and their families.

I have an independent practice in Teddington (TW11), where I offer both short- and long-term counselling to young people, adults and couples. In addition, I offer 1:1 and group person centred supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors and health and care professionals.

Choosing a therapist and supervisor is a very personal decision. I welcome enquiries by email or telephone and offer no-obligation introductory sessions to give you a feel for how I work.

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I am also a member of Metanoia Institute. I am committed to ethical and non-discriminatory practice and ensure that I access regular supervision, training and support from my colleagues so that you can feel confident in our work together.

In my free time I enjoy walking my dog, going to the theatre and mindfulness meditation.
